Universities celebrate academic achievements of Scottsdale, Paradise Valley students

Across the state and country, recent college graduates celebrate their departure from university life, including many Scottsdale and Town of Paradise Valley residents.

MacKenzie Byers of Scottsdale graduated with a bachelor of science degree in exercise science from the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. 

Other students include Matthew L. Rossi, graduate of Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa, and John Cary, who attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. 

From University of Northern Colorado, Paradise Valley’s Rebecca Steiner graduated with a bachelor of arts in musical theatre. Scottsdale residents Brynn Clark and Sierra Zischke also graduated with a bachelor of arts in communication studies and a bachelor of science in human services, respectively.

Corrine Starks of Scottsdale, a graduate of Marion Harding High School, also graduated from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio, with a bachelor of arts in theatre design and technical studies.

Bryant University in Rhode Island recognize students who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and achievement by awarding them Dean’s List honors.

Scottsdale resident Jenna Knight, class of 2022, has been named to the Deans’ List for the spring 2022 semester.

To earn a place on the Deans’ List, students must have a GPA of 3.4 or better for at least 12 semester hours of work.

At Mount Mercy University, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Scottsdale resident Jacob Scieszinski earned a master's degree in business administration.

Paradise Valley resident Davis Whyte was named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. To earn Dean’s List honors at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher on the 4.0 scale.

At Saint Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota, Scottsdale resident Brandon Fagiolo was named to the Dean’s List. The list includes nearly 400 undergraduate students who earned a grade point average of 3.60 or better on a 4.0 scale.
