A union representing Arizona construction workers says it’s too early to tell if it’s satisfied with the response of state officials to help rectify health and safety concerns at the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Arizona job site.
Complaints ranging from poor lighting, unsanitary break and lunch tents and slow access to enter and exit the buildings were voiced to the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health “since construction started,” according to Brandi Devlin, spokeswoman for the Arizona Building and Construction Trades Council.
“We know complaints have been filed,” Devlin said. “But we don’t know how many.”
