OPINION — It does not matter in which state you reside, if you have a majority Republican corporation commission, I believe the corporations are going to win every rate hike.
I don’t believe Republicans have ever met a corporation they did not love. Mitt Romney, former Republican presidential candidate, said in 2011: “corporations are people, my friend.”
I saw this in Kansas, and again here in Arizona with the EPCOR consolidation and rate hike for sewer. I recently received a card from EPCOR stating they are going for a rate hike for water. After all, it worked perfectly on the sewer hike.
