Looking at the reality of the Israeli issue, Israel wants to live in peace and is willing to accept a neighboring Palestinian state. Most Palestinians do not want Israel to exist. The history of this area from 1947 to the present is as follows: 1. In 1947, the UN declared that Palestine, as it was known then, would be partitioned into two states: an Arab state and a Jewish state. Note not a Palestinian state but an “Arab state.” The term Palestinian was created and marketed worldwide later.

Looking at the reality of the Israeli issue, Israel wants to live in peace and is willing to accept a neighboring Palestinian state. Most Palestinians do not want Israel to exist.
The history of this area from 1947 to the present is as follows:
1. In 1947, the UN declared that Palestine, as it was known then, would be partitioned into two states: an Arab state and a Jewish state. Note not a Palestinian state but an “Arab state.” The term Palestinian was created and marketed worldwide later.
2. The Arabs went to war to destroy the Jewish state when it was created in May 1948. The city of Jerusalem was divided. The eastern part was occupied by the Jordanians. The area of Judea and Samaria, home to the Jews for 3,000 years, was occupied by the Jordanians and renamed West Bank in 1950. Between 1949 and 1967, Jews were prohibited to live in this area.
3. In June 1967, the Jordanians attacked Israel again. Israel repulsed the attack, reunited Jerusalem under Israeli rule and captured the West Bank.
4. Moving to more current times: In 1993, an agreement was discussed leading to the Oslo Accords. This did not hold
and deadly terror attacks ensued.
In August 2005, Israel evacuated all of the settlements in the Gaza Strip and elsewhere, but terror attacks continued.
In 2010, Prime Minister Netanyahu froze settlement construction for 10 months but the Palestinians refused to engage in negotiation.
“Settlements” were never an obstacle to peace during this 60-year period.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and his government incite their citizens to hate Israelis and give incentives to murder Israelis using a “pay-to-slay” lethal form of welfare.
The current Resolution 2334 serves to criminalize Israel and its people and to undermine Israel’s right to exist.
It embraces Palestinian terrorists and empowers them in their ongoing war to annihilate Israel.
