Tyne agrees to separation agreement in Peoria

New last day set at July 2 for ‘voluntary retirement’

Former City Manager Jeff Tyne accepted a separation agreement that outlines a new role for him as “special consultant to the city manager” until he officially steps down from Peoria employment this summer.

The city council approved the contract at its Jan. 10 meeting.

Tyne announced his retirement last November, and that his last day would be March 3. This separation agreement, proposed by Mayor Jason Beck, states Peoria will employ Tyne with an annual base salary of $265,000 and that he will “voluntarily retire” on July 2.
