A teenage boy was arrested Thursday for shooting at two state troopers in Phoenix. Authorities are still searching for a second suspect, who was driving the car the shooter was in.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials said both neither trooper was injured.
DPS issued a Blue Alert Thursday that appeared as a notification on most Arizonans cell phones as well as interrupting TV and radio broadcasts. Blue Alerts are meant to “protect the public and officers through efficient information dissemination and communication that results in quick and safe apprehension of suspect(s)” after a violent attack on a law enforcement officer, according to DPS’ website.
