Two members of the J.O. Combs Unified School District governing board have abruptly resigned just as the question looms over whether an election will be held in November for two board seats.
Last week, Chad McLeod and Lisa Carr resigned effective immediately due to personal issues, said Kayla Fulmer, director of marketing and community relations for the district.
The Pinal County Superintendent will appoint a replacement for McLeod's seat, as the duration of his term runs through 2024. Carr’s term ends this year. She already had opted not to run for reelection. As a result, the Pinal County Superintendent will not fill her seat, Fulmer said.
