Two new developments are currently in the planning process for Sun City and Sun City West, according to the Maricopa County Planning & Development Department.
The new development planned for Sun City is a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant and the other is a proposed pet cemetery in Sun City West, said Adam Cannon, senior planner for the Maricopa County Planning & Development Department.
Plans for the new Kentucky Fried Chicken would locate the restaurant on the southwest corner of 108th and Grand avenues in Sun City, Cannon said. The 3,200-square-foot restaurant is under review after submitting a site plan. Because the restaurant meets the existing C-3 zoning, it does not have to go to the Planning & Zoning Committee for a recommendation to the County Board of Supervisors.
