A specialty office operated by two doctors, certified in chiropractic biophysics, the Functional Wellness Center is the only facility to perform spinal rehabilitation and postural correction in Scottsdale.

Chiropractic biophysics is an advanced technique on correcting postural deformities and spinal degeneration using traction devices and mirror image exercises, according to a press release.

Functional Wellness Center Drs. Andrew Kellogg and Sarah Little and staff work with various conditions from chronic to acute and all ages from kids to geriatric.

The office has state-of-the-art equipment such as digital X-ray, ESWT technology, and different types of traction units, areas dedicated to specific uses such as exercise, adjusting, and traction, the release said.

In one area, people perform different types of stretches and exercises on machines called Power Plates that aid in remolding the spine into a proper posture; another area has doctors performing chiropractic adjustments and specific postural adjustments using various tools.

Patients are put in certain mirror image positions and adjusted, which helps stimulate the corrective process, the release said, describing actions from sitting to lying while placed in specific mirror image positions, using blocks, wedges, straps, and weights for best possible results.

Drs. Kellogg and Little take a holistic approach to symptoms and health, according to the release, noting that digital x-rays, postural analysis, and an exam are used to understand underlying causes of health issues, as well as creating a custom treatment plan.

Interested in addressing chiropractic concerns, Dr. Kellog, originally from Jackson, Michigan, continued hiѕ education аt Life Chiropractic College West whеrе hе earned hiѕ doctorate оf chiropractic, then returned home fоr fivе years bеfоrе moving tо Scottsdale tо open Functional Wellness Center.
