Two Chandler schools earn foundation’s A-Plus award

Posted

The Arizona Educational Foundation has awarded two schools in the Chandler Unified district the 2024 A-Plus School of Excellence award.

Arizona College Prep Middle School and Robert J. C. Rice Elementary are the two CUSD schools claiming the honor this year.

According to a news release, schools applying for recognition take part in a process that includes a written application, on-site visits by a team of judges and participation by faculty, students and families.

Schools are evaluated in areas such as school culture, curriculum, leadership, assessment data and community involvement, the release stated.

Each A-Plus school receives a banner and a $500 award.

A spokesperson for CUSD said the district is in the process of planning celebrations for ACP Middle School and Rice Elementary.
