Peggy Sue Kruger - del Sol Gallery
No need to pinch yourself, it’s not a dream. The rich blue gem is seeing a “jewelry resurgence,” according to the Wall Street Journal. From celebrities like Scarlett Johanson to politicians-think Wyomingite Harriet Hageman sporting her squash blossom necklaces-turquoise is the hot, new gemstone that is trending for the upcoming year. And just in time for your holiday gift giving, the del Sol Gallery in Sun City West is hosting the December First Friday Gallery Gala in honor of this mystic beauty.
Turquoise: The captivating sea-green stone believed to have a mysterious calming and tranquil energy is the star of the Gallery Gala. This captivating stone represents wisdom, good fortune and has long been associated with enduring love. The jewelry cases at the gallery are overflowing with gorgeous turquoise beauties, from Squash Blossom necklaces to gorgeous bracelets, from belt buckles and rings to exquisite pendants. The First Friday Gallery Gala is 5-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2.
The del Sol Gallery, 13823 W. Camino del Sol, represents over 50 local silver artists, so there will be something for everyone and every budget. On second thought, maybe do pinch yourself.
