Celebrate the Kentucky Derby with a party at Turf Paradise in Phoenix.

The Woodford Reserve Derby DayClub returns Saturday, May 6 along with its charitable partners: Polo Cares Inc. and the Arabian Horse Association of Arizona.

Polo Cares Inc. has been a longtime benefiting charity of the Woodford Reserve Derby DayClub. The nonprofit founded the Arizona Polo Club that serves amateur and beginner polo players in order to preserve and develop the sport and its discipline in Arizona.

The event, presented by Sanderson Lincoln, anticipates making a five-figure donation to Polo Cares to advance its mission.

The Arabian Horse Association of Arizona will also benefit from this year’s Woodford Reserve Derby DayClub 50/50 raffle. This nonprofit is comprised of Arabian horse owners, breeders and enthusiasts from around the world dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Arabian Horse through breeding programs and competitions.

Turf Paradise, the Valley’s only live horse racing track, is located at 1501 W. Bell Road in North Phoenix.

Gates open that day at 7:15 a.m., and the Derby DayClub opens at 10:45, followed by live racing at 11:30 a.m.

The Kentucky Derby will be broadcast live from Churchill Downs at 3:24 p.m. Arizona time.

Tickets will be sold for $1 each, 15 tickets for $10 and 40 tickets for $20. The winning raffle ticket number will be drawn at the end of the Run for the Roses.

The event has sold out all previous years and is likely to sell out again. Click here or call 480-423-1414.
