TSMC’s additional $100B investment in Arizona bodes well for Peoria

Experts say city is well positioned to capture significant momentum

With a testing and packaging fab rising up in north Peoria, the city stands to benefit from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.’s recent announcement that the microchip manufacturer will invest another $100 billion in Arizona.

The additional investment brings the company’s total U.S. investment to $265 billion.

It will lead to several more semiconductor logic wafer fabs for 2 nanometer and below technologies, as well as advanced packaging fabs, to support the strong multiyear demand from leading U.S. customers.
