A boon in demand for artificial intelligence-capable computer chips and its Phoenix manufacturing facility coming online helped Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. to big third-quarter results.
TSMC announced a third-quarter revenue increase of 40% year-over-year in its earning call Wednesday. Third-quarter revenue was $33.1 billion, which was also a 10% increase from the previous quarter, according to a release from TSMC. Income was reported to be around $14 billion.
“Our business in the third quarter was supported by strong demand for our leading-edge process technologies,” said Wendell Huang, senior vice president and CFO of TSMC, in the release. “Moving into fourth quarter 2025, we expect our business to be supported by continued strong demand for our leading-edge process technologies.”
