With more than 6,000 people expected to be employed at the new Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. fab in north Phoenix, homebuilders are responding to that housing need throughout the region.

More than 6,000 people are expected to be employed at the new Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. fab in north Phoenix, and homebuilders have responded to that housing need throughout the region.

Interstate 17 and State Route 74 corridors have seen increased activity during the past year with big-name homebuilders either purchasing or putting in plans for more than 20,000 units on more than 7,100 acres.

Experts say the activity will continue to lead to more area development for years to come.
