Arizona is home to the only semiconductor manufacturing plant for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company in the nation. The company recently hired 8 new full-time employees following rigorous training that offers them careers in mechanics, factory operations, and more.
The program combines classroom instruction, mentorship and professional development to help applicants learn a trade that meets industry demand.
The eight students of the inaugural class were honored on Dec. 8 in downtown Phoenix, joined by the president of TSMC Arizona, Rose Castanares and Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego.
