Our president is at it again. I believe our “leader” has decided that it is in his best interest to start an insurrection where none existed prior.
Trump called up 2,000 troops from the California National Guard to quell the unrest in Los Angeles, despite Gov. Gavin Newsome telling him this is completely unneeded and unwanted.
The law that Trump is using to justify this escalation is only to be used in the event of a foreign invasion or an insurrection, of which there is neither. If he needs to see what an insurrection looks like, he can review the video of Jan. 6, 2021, and watch his supporters in action.
Now, Trump has activated Marines from Camp Pendleton — active-duty combat troops, to send into the fray. Let that sink in … the president of the United States has sent combat troops in to what is no more than a local police matter.
For those of you who just don’t get it, this is what authoritarianism looks like. We must act now … peacefully but forcefully, and let our government know that this is not OK!
By the way, this is the same “leader” who is throwing himself a military parade, complete with tanks and aircraft, on his birthday.
