Trip to D.C. cities conference is waste of taxpayer’s money

OPINION — (Re: The Surprise City Council’s trip to Washington, D.C., in March for the National League of Cities meeting and to discuss the planned ICE detention facility.) What an extreme waste of township money to send council to D.C. — for something that’s not going to change and something that the state of Arizona needs to have done.

Stop spending money previously on something that is not going to change. If you want an answer, call D.C. instead of flying there.
