Tri Pointe Homes constructs new community in southwest Phoenix

Tri Pointe Homes announced that construction is underway at Whispering Hills, a new 122-acre community located at 3824 W. Whispering Hills Drive in southwest Phoenix.

Upon completion, the community is anticipated to include 165 homesites, according to a press release.

“It’s hard to beat the combination of our high-quality product and a place — Phoenix — that was ranked No. 3 in the nation with regard to homebuilding prospects just last year,” Tri Pointe Homes Arizona Division President James Attwood said in the release. “Whispering Hills is an outstanding development opportunity for us, but homeowners will reap the ultimate rewards with life-changing home design and a very special sense of place that is seamlessly connected to the greater, high-growth market.”

Available in Spanish, Southwest and Desert exterior styles, homes at Whispering Hills are expected to range from approximately 2,340 to 4,300 square feet with three to five bedrooms, 2.5 to 4.5 baths and two- to four-bay garages, according to the release. Each of the three neighborhoods — Ridge, Summit, Atlas — are slated to consist of single-story floor plans, allowing residents to enjoy open concept FlexDesign spaces and extensive options such as RV garages and a GenSmart Suite.

The Ridge collection at Whispering Hills is anticipated to offer 80 homesites with homes ranging from approximately 2,340 to 2,980 square feet with three to four bedrooms, 2.5 to 3.5 baths and three-bay garages. Homebuyers can choose from three open concept floor plans with options including executive kitchen and frameless walk-in shower and GenSmart Suite for flexible multigenerational living.

The Summit collection at Whispering Hills is expected to include 32 homesites in the center of the community. The homes are anticipated to range from approximately 2,730 to 3,560 square feet with three to four bedrooms, 2.5 to 3.5 baths and two- to four-bay garages. Customers can select from three flexible, outdoor living-optimized floor plan designs with features like optional and included attached RV garages as well as a 16-foot multi-sliding glass door at the great room and another 8-foot sliding glass door at the game room.

Located in the most western part of the planned community, the Atlas collection at Whispering Hills is planned to consist of 53 homesites with floor plans ranging from approximately 2,980 to 4,300 square feet with four to five bedrooms, 3 to 4.5 bathrooms and three- to four-bay garages. Depending on the plan, homebuyers can choose from Flex Design floor plans showcasing detached and attached RV garage options, executive kitchens with prep zones, extended primary suites and multiple sliding glass door options for indoor/outdoor living.

Tri Pointe Homes achieves high-performing homes crafted with cost and environmental savings in mind through its LivingSmart program, which spans design and development to construction and the ongoing operation of a home, the release stated. New materials, technologies and features are constantly being incorporated into the program, which consists of HealthSmart, EnergySmart, EarthSmart, WaterSmart and HomeSmart.

Equipped with energy-efficient technology, homes at Whispering Hills are expected to be LEED certified and Energy Star certified.

Whispering Hills is nestled in the foothills north of the more than 16,000-acre South Mountain Park and Preserve, which offers recreational activities and contains three mountain ranges.

The private gated community is anticipated to offer approximately 71 acres of open space including a Native American rock petroglyph as well as ramadas, pocket parks and a tot lot, according to the release.

Situated in the Phoenix Union School District, Whispering Hills is convenient to downtown Phoenix and Sky Harbor Airport as well as nearby Loop 202, which allows direct access to southeast Valley employment and shopping.

The community grand opening is anticipated for the summer of 2023. For more information and to join the interest list, visit www.tripointehomes.com/az/phoenix-metro/whispering-hills/.
