Tree falls on Scottsdale fire truck causing injuries

Several people were injured Sunday afternoon when a vehicle crashed into a tree that fell on a Scottsdale fire truck, police said.

The collision happened May 7 near 96th Street and Shea Boulevard, and authorities reported several people were taken to a hospital. They all had non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

According to police, the  fire truck was passing by when  the tree fell.

Traffic restrictions were in place following the crash.
