Treasure House in Glendale appoints new COO

Jacob Miller joins supported living residence team

Posted

Jacob “Jake” Miller is the new chief operating officer at Treasure House, a supported living residence for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

He joined the Treasure House team this past July.

In his new role, Miller works closely with CEO Lauri Tanner to shape the organization’s future, overseeing performance management, budget planning, workforce development, and goal setting.

These duties all contribute to advancing the national expansion of the distinct Treasure House model via Growing Home, a $10 million capital campaign.

“I’m driven by the thought of the legacy that Treasure House is building – our actions today impact not only the lives of those currently under our care but also the lives of individuals with IDD (intellectual and developmental disabilities) who are yet to be born,” Miller shared in a press release. “We intend to ensure that Treasure House remains a beacon of hope and support for generations to come.”

Treasure House is located at 7815 W. Aspera Blvd., in Glendale.

Drawing on 15 years of banking experience, Miller previously held roles at Wells Fargo Bank.

The third-generation Arizona native regularly competes in long-distance triathlons, and is a five-time Ironman and six-time Half Ironman race finisher. He and his wife are avid volunteers, travelers, and are expecting their first child in 2024.

In August 2018, Brenda Warner and NFL Hall of Famer Kurt Warner founded Treasure House in Glendale with inspiration from their son, Zack. The nonprofit is currently at full capacity with 29 residents, ages 18 to 45, with IDDs that may include Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spina Bifida, learning disorders, and others.
