Thousands of travelers are stuck in or away from Phoenix as Southwest Airlines continues to deal with hundreds of cancellations.
The airline has said severe winter storms across the U.S. caused the cancellations, but while other airlines have canceled flights over the past week, none have canceled as many as Southwest both at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and nationwide.
“With no concern higher than ultimate safety, the people of Southwest share a goal to take care of each and every customer. We recognize falling short and sincerely apologize,” Southwest Airlines stated in a news release on Monday.
