Trash cart fees for new Queen Creek homes may go up

Queen Creek residents buying newly built homes may have to pay more for their waste and recycle trash carts.

The Queen Creek Council unanimously voted at its Nov. 15 meeting to start the clock for a public hearing to discuss raising the price for each cart by $25 from $75 to $100. This would only apply to residents buying newly constructed homes. However, residents of existing homes will also have to pay more for a replacement cart. If a replacement cart is needed for anything other than normal wear and tear, the price could increase from $75 to $100.
