PHOENIX – Drivers should plan ahead and expect delays over the weekend when northbound State Route 143 closes between Interstate 10 and Loop 202.
Work on a traffic shift will take place from 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, to 4 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13. At the same time, the I-10 ramps to northbound SR 143 will be closed.
In addition, the following will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday:
- The northbound SR 143 on ramp at University Drive.
- Northbound 48th Street between Broadway Road and I-10.
Westbound I-10 to northbound SR 143 detour: Use westbound I-10 to eastbound Loop 202 to access southbound SR 143.
Drivers traveling on south I-17, west I-10 and west US 60 who are heading to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport should use westbound I-10 to access the airport entrances at 24th Street or Buckeye Road, or use the Sky Harbor Boulevard entrance from the Loop 202, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
