Traffic enforcement stepping up in Sun City

Motorcycles could be on streets in June

Traffic enforcement is stepping up in Sun City.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office ghosted traffic car is already patrolling community streets and more vehicles could be added as early as June, according to Deputy Michael Redman, MCSO District 3 community outreach officer. In addition, MCSO’s traffic trailer is placed in several locations periodically. The trailer flashes a driver’s speed and collects data on the speeds of vehicles that pass it.

“I completed motor (motorcycle patrol) school and my supervisor is going through it next,” Redman said. “It takes four weeks.”
