Traffic collision on Peoria Avenue results in fatality

Peoria police and fire-medical departments responded to an accident at Peoria and 89th avenues that resulted in a fatality, 9 p.m., Feb. 7.

The accident involved an orange sport utility vehicle and a gray sport utility vehicle.

The driver of the orange vehicle, Nicole Classen of Apache Junction, 22, sustained significant injuries and was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital.
