Paradise Valley looks at funding homelessness initiatives, railroad park

The majority of Paradise Valley Town Council is in support of funding two community service programs, homelessness initiatives and a new facility at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park.

Five of seven council members — Mayor Jerry Bien-Willner, Vice Mayor Scott Moore, Mark Stanton, Anna Thomasson and Christine Labelle — stated they support funding for three proposed items:

  • $65,000: Central Arizona Shelter Services and Duet: Partners In Health and Aging;
  • $200,000: Scottsdale enhanced shelter services; and
  • $50,000: Roundhouse & Splashpad project, McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park.
