Town Council discusses new bodycam contract for Paradise Valley Police

The contract with Axon for police body-worn cameras will be renewed by Paradise Valley Town Council at its next meeting on Nov. 10.

On Oct. 27, council discussed the new five-year contract to commence in January 2023 for Axon body-worn cameras not to exceed the total cost of $315,024.

The current agreement has been in place since fiscal year 2019 and is set to expire in December 2023. However, staff was informed by Axon that it’s expecting a 10% price increase due to inflation in January.
