Maynard James Keenan, Tool lead singer and arguably the best-known resident of Jerome, is bringing his side project to downtown Phoenix on tour.

Puscifer, the band also featuring Mat Mitchell and Carina Round, will bring their Normal Isn’t Tour to Arizona Financial Theatre on March 21, 2026.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at ticketmaster.com.

The tour celebrates the band’s first new album in over five years, “Normal Isn’t” (Feb. 6, Puscifer Entertainment/Alchemy Recordings/BMG). The record channels the post-punk influences that shaped the members’ early musical experiences.

“We’re definitely leaning into our early influences,” Keenan shared in a press release from Live Nation. “It’s the place where goth meets punk. It’s where I came from.”

Written and recorded across Arizona, Los Angeles, and on the road during last year’s Sessanta tour, “Normal Isn’t” blends the dark electronics and sharp humor Puscifer is known for with a more spontaneous creative process.

“‘Normal Isn’t’ reflects this time we are living in,” Keenan adds. “As storytellers and artists, our job is to observe, interpret, and report. We take in our environment and share what we see, and what we see around us does not appear normal. Not by a long shot.”

Keenan has been an Arizona resident for 20 years and has lived in Jerome almost that whole time.

Jerome, which sits at almost 5,000 feet in elevation and is about 100 miles north from Phoenix in Yavapai County, is also home to Keenan’s Merkin Vineyard and Caduceus Cellars, plus a tasting room.
