Hello. I’m writing in response to Charlene Bisson’s opinion, titled “Enjoy holiday, as you navigate ‘sus’ comments at dinner.” What gets me is some of today’s slang that’s the same word that we may have used in my youth (I’m 67), but it has the opposite meaning from how we used it.
An example from the piece is: “Drip — Refers to someone’s great style or fashionable outfit.” In my youth, being called a “drip” was definitely insulting, meaning dull or boring.
That’s when it gets confusing.
