Today’s America built on dependence, not independence

OPINION — When the Continental Congress adopted its “Declaration of Independence,” officially published on July 4, 1776, there were reasons laid out in detail in that declaration.

King George III, according to the founders of the United States of America, obstructed immigration.

He kept standing armies in times of peace.
