Time Warp: Scottsdale schools’ governing board considers adjusting board meetings

Nearly a month after a vow to shorten the Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board meetings and a couple hours into the Feb. 2 meeting, discussions grew about changing the board meeting’s structure and format.

Board meeting structure was among the agenda’s weighty discussions as school leaders considered changing the meetings’ start times by March or April.

“This is really good timing to have a conversation about board meeting structure now that we are two hours into this meeting,” said SUSD Superintendent Dr. Scott A. Menzel. “I was going to say half way through but I didn’t want to jinx it.”
