Time for Scottsdale to tighten financial belt

Sales tax revenue flattening out

It’s time for the City of Scottsdale to start tightening it’s budgetary belt.

That was the major takeaway from City Treasurer Sonia Andrews’ quarterly financial report to the city council Feb. 6.

The city’s sales tax is flattening out, the city is set to lose revenue streams it has relied on in the state statutes and the city is bumping up against the state mandated expenditure limitation.
