Time for public to vote in ADOT’s annual safety message contest

Ten finalists have been selected from more than 3,700 entries for the Arizona Department of Transportation’s annual Safety Message Contest.

And now it’s up to the public to select two that will be displayed on overhead message boards along state highways.

Here are a few of the final 10: It’s hot outside, chill when you drive; This is your sign to slow down; and Be a buckle girl in a buckle world.

Ten finalists have been selected from more than 3,700 entries for the Arizona Department of Transportation’s annual Safety Message Contest.

And now it’s up to the public to select two that will be displayed on overhead message boards along state highways.

Here are a few of the final 10: It’s hot outside, chill when you drive; This is your sign to slow down; and Be a buckle girl in a buckle world.

“Thousands of Arizonans believe that making better decisions while driving is important for safety, and they’re  making their voices heard,” ADOT Director Jennifer Toth said.

This is the seventh year ADOT has held its annual Safety Message Contest. To see all of the finalists and vote: https://azdot.gov/safety-message-contest.

The deadline is Aug. 17.
