Tight Dysart district race unfolding in Surprise

Candidates square off at forum

Surprise residents won’t have any city measures on the Nov. 8 general election ballot, but there is a heated school board race to be settled.

Eyes have been on the Dysart Unified School District Governing Board race ever since the forced resignation of former Superintendent Quinn Kellis in the spring.

Voters will select two candidates among incumbent Dawn Densmore and challengers William Coniam, Jennifer Drake and Tina Mollica.
