Three top-10 runners propel Notre Dame to state championship race

Seven boys finished under 20 minutes

The Notre Dame Prep cross country team had three runners finish in the top 10 at the Division II Northwest Sectional race Thursday, Oct. 26.

The Saints set a school record with seven boys able to run a 5k under 20 minutes, and both the boys and girls teams qualified for the state championship race.

Senior Ava Handel (19:54.8) came in sixth place and fellow seniors Evan Grawer (16:52.4) and Evan Morozowich (16:56.8) placed seventh and eighth in the boys race. All three earned medals.
