On Thursday, May 28 three Kyrene Elementary schools close for good.
Kyrene’s Colina, Manitas and Estrella Elementary Schools will pack their things and move out thousands of pounds of instructional materials, furniture, equipment and more to be used across the district. But first, many goodbyes.
“What an opportunity we have here in Kyrene to build a future community,” said board president Triné Nelson. “In all these moments when we have transitions looming these kids are just incredible and I’m just so proud to be a part of this community with such wonderful gifts and while next year is unknown, it will be filled with so many wonderful things.”
