Discussion on “a threatened litigation matter” and an interim superintendent and/or superintendent search process are topics of the Apache Junction Unified School District Governing Board’s April 13 closed-door executive session.
The Governing Board meets at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Board Room, 1575 W. Southern Ave., for an executive session and meeting. Members of the Governing board will attend in-person or by telephone, video or Internet conference. The Governing Board’s attorney may appear in-person or telephonically.
Items on the executive session agenda are:
State law allows the meetings per Arizona Revised Statutes 38-431.03, which states, in part, that upon a public majority vote of the members constituting a quorum, a public body may hold an executive session. It goes on to list seven subsections detailing the types of meetings that may be held, according to azleg.gov.
