Thousands of steps climbed for good cause in Scottsdale

Representing Scottsdale Police during his race, Chris Motiejunas took first place in the Fight for Air Climb at Scottsdale Stadium April 7.

The event helps fund the work of the American Lung Association to end lung disease. In Arizona, there are more than 923,000 people living with lung disease, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer and others.

Participants, many of whom were representing a club or organization, took 1,100 steps to finish.
