Thompson: You can defend the Constitution or vote Trump; you can’t do both

Trump’s former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley, says: “[Trump] is the most dangerous person ever … he's a total fascist.” Trump’s former secretary of defense, Gen. James Mattis, reportedly agrees.
Trump was too selfish to accept that he lost the 2020 election, so he lied about it instead. Sarah Matthews, a former Trump aide, points out that on Jan. 6, Trump was told that Vice President Mike Pence was at the Capitol with his family and was in danger. Trump’s response? “So what?”
If Trump does not care about his own vice president, why does anyone think he cares about our country? We either defend the Constitution or we vote for Donald Trump; it’s impossible to do both.
