Thomas Edward Van Ryn, 73Sun City resident Thomas Edward Van Ryn died Oct. 22, 2007.Mr. Van Ryn was born Oct. 13, 1933 in Aliquippa, Penn., and moved to Arizona in 1981. He is remembered as a beloved husband and father, and a friend to everyone he met.He met the love of his life, Eleanor Freshcorn, at a dance in Beaver County, Penn. While a young man, he excelled in baseball and softball. Throughout his life he sang in numerous choruses and groups, and recorded a CD of his favorite old-time classics. Mr. Van Ryn always had a song in his heart and his joyous melodies will be missed by his family and friends.He loved dancing, singing, traveling, playing golf, sharing laughs and his family and friends.He retired from Mountain Bell and USWest, where he worked as a cable splicer for many years.Mr. Van Ryn is survived by his wife; a daughter, Brenda (Larry) Scheneman; and two sons, Craig Van Ryn and Thomas Clark Van Ryn.
