Thomas: BOA ruling will open floodgates for permits in Sun City

In my opinion, this ruling (“BOA approves underage permit,” Sun City Independent, March 1, 2023) just opens the door to others who have been wanting underage persons to live in their home.

This is supposed to be an age-restricted community and I can understand when I see small children playing in the street that they are more than likely visiting their grandparents. However, I see this ruling as a sign of the future coming to our community. I would not be at all surprised now to find that the government has decided to build a low-income housing project in Sun City in order to achieve “equity” within our community.

It is coming down the road and I am glad I am old as I sure don’t like the way things are going at this time.
