‘This is a giant commercial for Arizona’

Super Bowl host committee looks to advertise state, give back to community

Aside from the Super Bowl generating hundreds of millions of dollars for the Valley and state, especially in the tourism industry, it’s also what amounts to a giant boost of free advertising with millions of people.

The NFL estimates total worldwide viewership of the 2022 Super Bowl in Los Angeles was 208 million. When the game comes to Glendale next February, the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee understands the branding opportunity at hand.

“First and foremost, [our goal] is to showcase Arizona on a global platform,” said Jay Parry, the committee’s president and CEO. “This is a giant commercial for Arizona — our incredible business community, what a great place this is to live, the diversity and inclusion that we have here in Arizona.”
