Posted

Theodore C. Bierdeman, son of Theodore M. and Gertrude (Bachmann) Bierdeman, born August 1, 1924 in St. Louis, MO peacefully passed away May 17, 2018 at Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, AZ. He was 93 years old. Ted was the loving husband of Julia Fremon Bierdeman of Sun City, AZ and father of Karen B. Carleton of Valparaiso, IN, Theodore K. Bierdeman of Three Rivers, MI, and Carl F. Bierdeman of Colorado Springs, CO.

Ted will be remembered by various people for many different things: designing and building his family’s first house in Cedar Hill, MO while adding onto or otherwise improving properties as he moved from place to place; his love of barbecuing, fishing, and cocktail hour; his story-telling, frequently related to his service in WWII and regarding his business achievements for which he took great pride; singing show tunes with others around the piano his wife played; and spiking the water of Sweetie Pie, the family parakeet who amazingly lived 13 years, with alcohol.

Survived by his wife, children and son-in-law, Forrest V. Carleton, seven grandchildren (and spouses), eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews (and spouses), Ted had a long and fulfilling life. A private family gathering was held in his memory.
