Theatre West presents season opener, “Bus Stop”

Theatre West, a theater group composed entirely of residents from Sun City West, unveils its season opener “Bus Stop,” scheduled to run Oct. 17-29 at the Stardust Theatre, 14401 R.H. Johnson Blvd.

This play by William Inge is a timeless romantic comedy directed by Frederick Saint John, which takes theatergoers on an emotional journey exploring the intricacies of love, relationships and the unexpected connections that bind us all.

Set against the backdrop of a Kansas blizzard, “Bus Stop” unfolds within the confines of a roadside diner, where a diverse group of travelers find themselves seeking refuge from the storm. As their individual stories unfold, the play blends humor, introspection, and a touch of romance in a heartwarming tale.

“’Bus Stop’ marks the perfect beginning for our new season,” remarks Fran De Well, President at Theatre West. “The fact that this production is brought to life entirely by talented Sun City West residents under the direction of Frederick Saint John adds a unique layer of community spirit to the performance.”

Theatre West takes pride in its commitment to excellence in the performing arts, as well as its mission to provide a platform for both seasoned performers and emerging talents from within the Sun City West community. The production promises outstanding performances and production values that capture the essence of Inge’s brilliant work.

Tickets for “Bus Stop” are available starting Sept. 11 and can be purchased at theatrewestscw.com or in person at the Sun City West Box Office.
