Beginning Aug. 21, every Sunday morning from 8 a.m. to noon, The Thumb in Scottsdale will host a big, outdoor public market.
Start your Sunday mornings by leisurely shopping, strolling, and eating and enjoy a new twist on the hometown farmers market, a press release explained. Local vendors will sell pasta, baked goods, vegan pies, gluten-free cookies, popsicles, kombucha, honey, salsas, hummus, cold-press juices, dog treats and more.
The Thumb is an iconic Scottsdale landmark known for its award-winning barbecue and bakery, car wash and service, beautiful artisan gift market, and for being featured in “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives,” the release stated. Their fish tank was also featured on “Animal Planet.”
Opened in 2012 inside a gas station/car wash, The Thumb has become an unlikely but enormously popular destination for barbecue in the Valley, according to the release. Its melt-in-your-mouth brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken and Kansas City barbecue sauce are big hits among customers, including Guy Fieri.
The Thumb is a great place to bring the entire family and the family car, the release stated. Family dogs are welcome too.
Starting Sept. 2, The Thumb will also offer free, live music every Friday and Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. The Thumb is located at 9393 E. Bell Road.
