‘The Rise of Camelot’: A story about Camelot Therapeutic Horsemanship

The story of Scottsdale’s oldest equine therapy ranch for disabilities is the story of its founder.

As Camelot Therapeutic Horsemanship reaches 40 years in north Scottsdale, Executive Director Mary Hadsall reflects on the nonprofit’s invaluable services and its foundations by Eileen Szychowski who was left with a life-changing disability by a childhood illness.

A previous employee recently published a book called “The Rise of Camelot” that tells the story of founder Szychowski. It was the author’s dream to write a story where the main character has a disability, according to Hadsall.
