Concert Promoter Danny Zelisko’s rise from everyday Chicago civilian to one of the most influential concert promoters in the southwest is a feat he owes to grit and tenacity.
He grew up in a household of seven based on the No. 1 philosophy based on showing kindness and respect to others.
“If we were rude, loud, obnoxious or interrupted people, we were punished. We were raised not with an iron fist but with an open hand,” he recalled of his early years. “It made sense to listen to our parents, and not because we were afraid, but because they made sense.”
