The preliminary design and landscaping for a proposed day care facility on 1.6 acres west of Power Road on the south side of McKellips Road was recently discussed by the Mesa Design Review Board.
A new 10,095-square-foot building made with block materials such as concrete masonry units is planned with vehicle access from McKellips Road, Staff Planner Charlotte Bridges said during the board’s Feb. 8 meeting.
“(T)he outdoor activity area — or the playground areas — are going to be located on the south side of building,” she said. “The landscape plan shows perimeter landscaping along the property lines and it does also provide parking-lot landscaping and then the required foundation base landscaping.”
