"The Jury" opens its 10-show run at the Sun City West theater on Jan. 23. The play is written by Reginald Rose and directed by Jenny Kaupu.
"The defense and the prosecution have rested and the jury is filing into the jury room to decide if a young Spanish-American is guilty or innocent of murdering his father," the theater’s news release states. "What begins as an open and shut case of murder soon becomes a mini-drama of each of the juror’s prejudges and preconception about the trial, the accused and each other."

Theatre West is an organization for Sun City West residents interested in any or all phases of theatre, and participation in play or musical productions; to provide acting, training and experience; and to present theatrical productions for the community. Theatre West became a chartered club in 1980 and has grown to a membership of more than 400 members.
The Stardust Theater, completed in 1989, is located on the corner of R.H. Johnson & Stardust Blvd. in Sun City West. "The Jury" runs from Jan. 23 through Feb. 3.
Tickets are on sale now at the R.H. Johnson box office, 19803 R.H. Johnson Blvd., Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
